At its core, the 77 Challenge serves high-potential, Queensland-headquartered ventures engaged in FrontierTech. This encompasses pioneering areas such as Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, IoT & Edge Computing, Advanced Manufacturing & Robotics, Energy & Smart Infrastructure, and Quantum & Cybersecurity. The program is specifically designed for early-stage companies actively preparing to secure pre-seed, seed, or pre-Series A funding rounds, offering a pathway to enhance their investor readiness and fundraising execution.

A key differentiator of the 77 Challenge is its participant-friendly model: ventures incur no fees and are not required to give up equity to join the program. However, as a testament to its commitment to supporting promising startups, at least one participating venture is offered a minimum investment of $100,000 from 77 Partners by the program's conclusion. This unique approach, combined with curated 1:1 meetings with top-tier investors and personalised weekly sessions with the 77 Partners team, distinguishes it from traditional accelerator models focused solely on pitch practice.
