Aussie Angels is an Australian fintech platform based in Sydney, dedicated to democratising angel investing in Australia and New Zealand. Founded by Cheryl Mack in 2021, the platform addresses the challenge new angel investors face in accessing quality early-stage deals and navigating the often-exclusive startup investment ecosystem. Aussie Angels provides shared infrastructure for angel syndicates and micro funds, significantly reducing the typical upfront and ongoing costs associated with establishing and maintaining such investment vehicles.

The platform serves sophisticated and wholesale investors, enabling them to co-invest alongside experienced startup investors through various themed syndicates. These syndicates focus on diverse sectors such as climate tech, female founders, B2B SaaS, intelligent systems, health tech, and frontier technology. Investors can join these syndicates without upfront fees, paying only when they decide to commit to a deal, and can make investments with cheques as small as $5,000, which is considerably lower than the typical $25,000 minimum for direct startup investments.
